L’opera, firmata dal critico e poeta Donato Di Poce, è dedicata a uno dei personaggi più eccentrici del panorama culturale italiano, ed esplora l’officina creativa di Alberto Casiraghy a Osnago, definita un “luogo magico di produzione di felicità”.
Casiraghy, pittore, editore, liutaio e aforista, è il creatore delle celebri edizioni Pulcinoelefante: libretti rari prodotti giornalmente con caratteri mobili su carta pregiata, diventati oggetto di culto per collezionisti di tutto il mondo. Il volume approfondisce il legame artistico e umano tra Casiraghy e Alda Merini, un sodalizio durato diciotto anni che ha dato vita a ben 1.189 titoli, rendendo Casiraghy il “vero editore” della poetessa dei Navigli.
Attraverso un ricco album fotografico e analisi critiche originali, Di Poce svela un artista che vive “nel segno della polisemia e dell’empatia con il mondo”.
Il testo arriva in un momento di grande rilancio per l’opera di Casiraghy, dopo che il Comune di Milano ha acquisito il suo prezioso archivio di quasi undicimila titoli, ora conservato a Casa Boschi Di Stefano
