Titì ha quattro anni e un talento travolgente: disegna tutto ciò che vede, sente, immagina. Ogni momento della giornata diventa per lui un’occasione per creare: il sole caldo di una vacanza, un lupo nascosto dietro un albero, un accessorio che indossa una vicina buffa, uno squalo balena minuscolo. Con entusiasmo, ogni volta chiede: “Ti piace il mio disegno?”. Tra mamma, nonna, papà, insegnanti e amici, incontra reazioni diverse, spesso distratte, altre più curiose.
A casa, a scuola, dalla vicina, per strada: Titì porta sempre con sé tanta immaginazione e tanta voglia di disegnare, e appena può tira fuori fogli e colori per seguire l’ispirazione. Alcuni dei suoi disegni sono pensati per un destinatario preciso, come il cappello giallo per Rosy, o il ritratto “acrobatico” per sua sorella Anita che ama nuotare in piscina. Altre volte, invece, Titì si ferma a osservare il mondo che lo circonda, pensando a quanto vorrebbe saper disegnare delle belle arance tonde come quelle del fruttivendolo Alì, o a quanto gli piacerebbe realizzare un disegno in movimento per immortalare i piccioni che svolazzano per strada. I grandi non sempre sembrano comprendere il suo talento, e il lettore non vede mai le sue creazioni, finché il bambino ci conduce nella sua stanza e… Ta-daan! si apre una sorprendente installazione di disegni: una grande apertura finale, ricchissima di dettagli, che trasforma l’albo in una vera esperienza visiva.
Con una narrazione viva e diretta in prima persona, il testo di Melania Longo ci permette di guardare il mondo attraverso gli occhi di Titì e questa prospettiva “bambina” accompagna le tavole di Alessandro Sanna in un inaspettato dialogo tra segno infantile e segno d’artista, creando un linguaggio visivo che amplifica l’emozione.
