Autore, compositore e polistrumentista, per 12 anni frontman della band napoletana La Maschera, Colella apre l’ascolto del suo nuovo percorso con una canzone che ci trasporta al centro della sua poetica musicale, voce potente e impegno sociale, con un cantato in cui coesistono con naturalezza napoletano, italiano e inglese.
Il volo diurno, armonioso e collettivo, si contrappone alla solitudine del volo notturno. Così come la gioia condivisa di un momento felice si contrappone al senso di solitudine in un periodo difficile. È in questa metafora il cuore de La Casa Sull’Albero: un punto d’evasione simbolico in cui provare a capire il rumore del mondo, in cui ritrovare sé stessi e la giusta direzione. Perché la paura di cadere spesso si confonde con quella di sentirsi profondamente vivi.
«La Casa Sull’Albero è l’inizio del viaggio. Una via d’evasione e un punto d’osservazione – dice Roberto Colella. Sono profondamente felice di pubblicare nuova musica, felice della forma di questo lavoro e dei segnali che la vita mi ha offerto per trovare la giusta direzione. Questa canzone è arrivata di notte, come una luce in un cielo infinito e buio. Scriverla e cantarla è stato come ricongiungersi con il me adolescente che imitava Freddie Mercury in cameretta, come mettersi a nudo e vincere la paura di cadere… e, più di ogni altra cosa, mi ha dato un brivido che spero arrivi a chi la ascolterà».
