Giovanni Battimiello a Locorotondo e Martina Franca

Torna l’appuntamento di 1M2 (Un Metro Quadro), spazio sperimentale di Martino Pezzolla, Giordano Santoro e Michele D’Amico.
Da sabato 1 ottobre 2022, 1M2 ospita, nelle sedi di Locorotondo (Ba) e Martina Franca (Ta), la mostra di Giovanni Battimiello, curata da Graziella Melania Geraci.
L’artista napoletano presenta lo sviluppo del progetto, work in progress, #menoduegradi,0 presentato per Trullo 227_Emergenze, in cui la velocità di liquefazione del ghiaccio, lancia l’allarme del cambiamento climatico, svelando il motto di una lotta ambientalista.
Nell’intervento Krisis, Battimiello abbandona l’installazione per la fotografia, gioca con l’obiettivo trasformando forme e luci in un continuo approssimarsi e allontanarsi dal soggetto che perde così la propria fisicità in favore dell’astrattismo. Affiancano le apparizioni glaciali i dati del monitoraggio sullo scioglimento globale dei ghiacciai, analisi che oggettivizza la situazione imminente ma la cui visione, parte integrante dell’opera d’arte, ne cambia la percezione amplificando l’immaginario e la coscienza del problema.
Continua così la formula dell’iconico oblò di 1M2 aperto su strada 24 ore su 24, una vetrina che rende l’arte contemporanea parte del quotidiano andirivieni.
Il doppio opening si terrà a Locorotondo in Via Dura 4, sabato 1 ottobre, alle ore 19.30 e domenica 2 ottobre a Martina Franca in Via Gian Battista Vico 26, alle ore 12.30.
La mostra di Giovanni Battimiello rimarrà visibile fino a domenica 9 ottobre.
