Attraverso gesti semplici e parole forti, il papa ha saputo parlare al mondo con umanità e coraggio, affrontando temi come la pace, la fraternità universale e la necessità di una riforma profonda, spirituale prima ancora che strutturale.
Il libro si chiude con il racconto toccante dell’ultimo periodo di vita di Francesco, il suo addio e il lascito spirituale per la Chiesa del futuro: una Chiesa chiamata a camminare insieme, a valorizzare il ruolo delle donne, a dialogare con la contemporaneità e a non smarrire mai il senso della misericordia e della speranza. In appendice, interventi di mons. Vincenzo Paglia e riflessioni su alcuni scritti del papa arricchiscono ulteriormente il volume, rendendolo uno strumento imprescindibile per comprendere la portata storica e umana di un pontificato che ha saputo parlare al cuore del nostro tempo
