Un conflitto infinito presentato a Lizzano
Il dipartimento di lettere della scuola secondaria di primo grado “Manzoni” di Lizzano (Ta), con i docenti Annamaria Saracino, Cristina Lupoli, Tina Greco, Alberto Dati e Rita Castronovo, ha organizzato nelle ore curriculari la presentazione agli alunni delle terze classi, del volume Un conflitto infinito – Racconto della Palestina arabo-israeliana di Cosimo Rodia, per le edizioni G.C.L. edizioni, 2025.
In meno di due ore Rodia, sostenuto da un corredo di cartine tematiche, ha raccontato la storia della Palestina moderna, iniziando dalla dominazione turca fino ai giorni nostri, soffermandosi sulla nascita del nazionalismo arabo, l’insediamento sionista, la nascita dello Stato di Israele, il mancato riconoscimento degli arabi palestinesi, le varie guerre, i tentativi di pace, le Risoluzioni delle Nazioni Unite, il terrorismo, il militarismo degli ortodossi israeliani, per giungere all’impasse odierna in cui la distruzione è diventata feroce e umanamente intollerabile.
Docenti e studenti hanno seguito con attenzione in particolare le fasi dell’accendersi della guerra, del massacro del 7 ottobre 2023 e dell’ultima occupazione di Gaza da parte di Israele; e alla fine, alla domanda di uno studente, se la firma del 9-10 ottobre 2025 voluta da Trump apra prospettive reali di pace, il prof. Rodia ha concluso che Israele è nato grazie alle decisioni delle Nazioni Unite, e a loro spetterebbe l’impegno, usando i caschi Blu e tutti le altre leve che hanno a disposizione, di risolvere i problemi dei campi profughi, quello di un popolo apolide, dei confini dello Stato Palestinese, della possibilità che un popolo si autodetermini rinunciando al terrorismo, di permettere la nascita di governi ed istituzioni autonomi e presidiando che essi permangano.
